The airline operates scheduled services to 35 destinations in Central, North and South America from its hub at the Juan Santamaría International Airport. It is headquartered in San Jose, Costa Rica and is owned by the parent company, Synergy Group. Avianca is a member of the Star Alliance and is one of the seven nationally branded airlines of the Avianca Holdings Group.
